I have been curious about cyanotype over printing inks since I first saw white-on-white patterned fabrics at the craft store. I was bemused by the concept for a moment before wondering ‘What if I cyanotype on this?’ and buying a yard. A fascinating texture was the result, as the printed white pattern partially resisted the cyanotype.

Fast forward to 2025 and I applied for a grant to purchase supplies and studio time at Red Bird Press to expand the idea. This time I’m using my own imagery instead of commercial designs and fabrics.
