Cyanotype stretched over panel

Prairie City was commissioned by Curator Engine and was installed at The Travis, Houston on May 10, 2020. Please note that in the above image the intended wall treatment has not yet been installed!
Prairie City is composed of 23 cyanotypes on cotton stretched overpanels of varying height and depth. The cyanotypes are photograms (direct prints) of native prairie grasses from the Houston area, similar to those that grow alongside the bayou. Big Bluestem, Little Bluestem, Inland Sea Oats and Gulf Muhly were used to make the prints.
